Pizza Hut — Robstown, TX

State accessibility records kept by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation list two projects for the Robstown Pizza Hut on West Avenue J. A registration filed in June 2019 proposed tearing down the existing Pizza Hut and putting up a new 1,802-square-foot restaurant, at an estimated cost of $250,000. A second registration, filed in March 2020, covered a $400,000 interior finish-out of a 2,346-square-foot space, with work scheduled from August to September 2020. In 2007 the Texas Legislature formally recognized Robstown, in Nueces County, as the birthplace of Texas Hold'em poker.
