✓ Confirmed

637 Hwy 290, Hempstead, TX 77445

Hempstead, the Waller County seat about 50 miles northwest of downtown Houston on US 290, was once the country's top shipper of watermelons. Its Pizza Hut drew attention in December 2023, when a hometown customer's photos of the restored dining room spread online, showing the old interior and logo, the lunch buffet and red cups.
