Privacy Policy

What We Collect

When you use retropizzahut.com, we may collect the following information:

• Submitter name and email address — collected only if you voluntarily provide them when submitting a location. Your name may appear publicly as credit on a published listing. Your email is private and is used only to notify you about the status of your submission.
• IP address — logged for spam prevention, rate limiting (to prevent submission flooding), and flag deduplication (to prevent the same user from flagging the same location repeatedly). IP addresses are not published.
• Uploaded photos — photos you submit are stored in our file storage system. By submitting a photo, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it on this site (see Terms of Use).
• Newsletter email — collected only if you subscribe. Used only to send the newsletter; every email includes an unsubscribe link.
• Usage and analytics data — we use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic. It does not use cookies or track you across other websites.
• Cookie consent choice — stored in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again.

How We Use It

• Submitter name: displayed publicly on approved location listings as attribution.
• Submitter email: sent one confirmation email on submission and one notification if the location is approved. Never used for marketing or shared with third parties.
• IP addresses: used only for rate limiting and deduplication. Purged periodically.
• Photos: displayed on location pages and potentially in social media previews for those pages.

Advertising and Cookies

This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Ad code only loads after you choose “Accept” in our cookie banner. If you choose “Reject”, no ad scripts load.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
• Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

To change your choice later, clear this site's data in your browser settings and the banner will appear again.

Affiliate Links

Some links to travel sites (Booking.com, DiscoverCars, Viator) are affiliate links. If you book through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those sites may set their own cookies when you click through, under their own privacy policies. Affiliate links are labeled where they appear.
